Western Legends is a tabletop adventure with an open world and sandbox environment for 2 to 6 players, set in the American Wild West. Players take on the roles of historical figures from that era and earn their legendary status in various ways: gambling, cattle herding, searching for gold, robbing banks, fighting bandits, seeking stories, becoming outlaws, maintaining peace. The possibilities are nearly endless.

Each player begins their turn by drawing poker cards and/or acquiring money. They then choose three actions. Possible actions include: moving on the map (the distance depends on whether the player has a mountain), performing a location-specific action (such as mining for gold if in a gold mine, gambling if in a saloon, etc.), fighting other players in the same location (either dueling, robbing, or arresting them if they are wanted), playing poker cards that have action abilities, etc. Legendary points (LP) are earned based on the outcomes of many of these actions, and the winner is the one with the most LP at the end of the game.
